Although art is a language this comes close to pure economy of means to express the wealth of harmony, muscle, bone, music, colour and all the natural world, and the mind of man.

When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence. - Ansel Adams
Lovely! Harmonious traces was the subject of my undergrad thesis. As such, Φ was a big part of it. I wanted it to be the subject of my PhD thesis as well, but the supervisor who was keen on the subject died a couple of weeks before I showed up. The new supervisor had no interest in it, so I had to drop it.
The DNA/galaxy spiral part reminded me of the famous Hermes the Trismegistus’ quote, “as above, so below.” Very fractal-like 🙂

It was a last ditch discovery before a talk I am gearing up to do tomorrow, and says in film in four minutes what would take much longer ( and less vividly) in words. I only hope the technology will oblige. It is miraculous and the fractals are ourselves!

Lisi said, “We live in a world described by mathematics. But which math?” Those of us still counting on our fingers might wonder how to talk about experience without using either language or math: http://arxiv.org/pdf/0711.0770.pdf

A pithy corrective ( that impenetrable link) to over-simple extractions Joe, but proportion (not silence) is golden, and that is only the science math of relationship- heading in the direction of love? Seems good to me.

Andrew. When you click the arrow to play, another screen opens with two diagonal arrows. If you click on these the film becomes full screen ( use esc. to escape!) It is worth it and thanks for dropping by.
